GETUP

For the past few months, Brent has been learning brain hacks from expert Jim Kwik.

Things such as: how to remember people’s names when you first meet them, what are the 10 things to eat for a smarter brain, or how to read faster and actually retain the information.  I’m always interested in being better, so I’ve tagged along on his discovery journey – and it’s been fun!

Most recently, Brent learned about GETUP. 

It’s an acronym used by Dr. Heather Smith-Fernandez who specializes in regenerative medicine.  She talks about her strategy for helping people get back up after a setback, including harnessing your own body’s ability to heal itself (…cuz that’s what it’s designed to do!).

 

Here’s the GETUP strategy – it’s SO EASY and impactful!

Three things to stop doing and two things to start doing every day.

G – Get on the Floor (and Get Back Up)

E – Eliminate a Meal

T – Turn OFF Social Media

U – Unplug Your Phone

P – Pray or Meditate for 5 Minutes
