Yesterday I got a text about 2pm, “No adjustments today?”
“It’s Tuesday,” I said.

I don’t know about you, but I definitely get a bit out of routine with Monday holidays.
Now, don’t get me wrong – I absolutely appreciate the opportunity to have a day off, and to stop and be grateful to those we are honoring or celebrating. It’s just a little whacky sometimes getting back into the groove.
What I find helps
is jumping back into the normal, weekly routine as quickly as possible: bed times, wake times, meal times, (meal planning), etc. The reason this works is it helps our brain relax back into the rhythm of routine.
Our brains and body thrive on routine!
It’s the secret sauce to efficiency. So, the sooner you can get your body (and family!) back into the routine of the week, the more efficient your week will be.
Yes, it’s Wednesday. Do all the Wednesday things you usually do.
And when the week gets a bit whacky, be grateful for the time off on Monday and take a moment to thank those we honored.
