Last week at an IT conference, I had an awesome conversation with a fellow Health Seeker.
It warmed my heart!! I was inspired by his passion to learn everything he could to improve his own state of health.
His passion for this personal research is prompted by his ownership for his state of health.
He wants to be self-reliant. He wants to take action on his health. He wants to get healthy and stay healthy without reaching for meds.
He said he’ll learn one thing that prompts four more questions to investigate. While investigating the first of those four, he’ll find three to four more things to learn about… but he hasn’t even finished fully answering his first four questions! He even shared a few resources with me that I hadn’t heard about, such as Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod. So fun!
My takeaways were these… curiosity is a powerful tool, as is ownership of your health.
Because of his curiosity to learn more, he’s made intentional life changes over the past couple years to improve his state of health slowly and deliberately.
It is truly inspiring because it reminds me that ANYONE can do this. You don’t have to be a professional or practitioner. Everyone has the opportunity to make lifestyle changes and slowly step toward better health.
Journeys often seem daunting.
However, we all know the saying, and it starts with one step. What is one thing you can do this week to work on your health? There are three main areas of health: physical health, mental emotional health, and biochemical/nutritional health.
Pick one small (or big) thing to change and be curious about how it can help you.
Perhaps it’s not getting fries with your takeout order, or going for a walk on your break, or maybe it’s stopping just once during the day to take two deep breaths. These are small things that lead to big changes.
You can do it. I believe in you and you deserve it!
With love and inspiration,
Dr. Michelle
