Allergy Tip!

Holy WIND, batman!  I don’t know about you but the incessant wind is surprisingly draining.

Here’s the other thing about this time of year – allergies.  And all that wind only exacerbates the pollen and allergens in the air. Yuck.

This weekend I heard a tip about helping to control allergies, so I want to pass it along.

We’re aware of the pollen and other allergens floating around in the air.  When you breathe them in, your body over-reacts causing an allergic response.  What I had never consciously thought about until this weekend is how all the pollen also lands on our clothes, in our hair, on our face, etc.  Then we’re continually exposed to allergens and pollen throughout the day and night, even when indoors.

The simple allergy-quelling tip: Rinse off at the end of the day to wash the pollen off your hair, your skin, your face, etc.  This reduces your prolonged exposure to allergens and pollen, helping to decrease allergies.

A true a-ha for me and hopefully it is for you also!  Breathe easier, my friends.
