Almost everyone wants to be healthy. Most people don’t know how to make that happen. More prescriptions and drugs are not the answer. Surgeries aren’t the answer. Information on the internet is confusing and conflicting. As a nation we’re ranked 37th in health compared with the rest of the world! It will take a lot to get our nation healthier and people don’t know where to look for true information.
Why am I here? Because it starts with one person. Why do I practice chiropractic & functional nutrition? To provide a path for individuals and families to follow to TRUE HEALTH – healing from the inside out. To give people hope that they can gain their health back. To inspire you to live the life you’ve been dreaming about. To guide, to coach, to motivate, and most of all, to empower you.
I come to work every day so we can build healthier people, a healthier community, and a better nation. You are born to be healthy. Come, let me show you how.
I first became familiar with Chico Spine & Wellness years ago. My husband was an established patient of Dr. Michelle’s and I’d stop into the office to pick up supplements for him. Even from those quick stops, I could feel the healing environment. This place simply exuded positive energy and a caring atmosphere.
I found myself drawn to seek out Dr. Michelle’s professional services. I have long been interested in nutrition and whole-person wellness. At the time, I was struggling with ongoing neck and back issues, as well as some dietary challenges which affected me negatively on many levels. I liked the philosophy of treating the whole person.
Committing to a care plan with Dr. Michelle was a personal investment in myself, my health, and my well-being. Within 7 months, I was definitely feeling and looking much better! I lost over 60 pounds and I was well on my way toward a healthier, productive life. I found myself wanting to stretch the boundaries of my own personal growth.
Chico Spine & Wellness was looking for a new team member, and when the opportunity presented, I couldn’t help but step out of my comfort zone and ask Dr. Michelle if she would consider me for the position.
I am blessed to be a member of the family here at Chico Spine & Wellness. I have stepped into the adventure of all things chiropractic and nutrition, and I am learning all there is to know about running the office. I enjoy opportunities to be of help and service for the many people who walk through our doors.
In my spare time, I enjoy taking walks in the park and cooking for friends and family. I also am mildly obsessed with scrolling through Pinterest to find new recipes to try out on my always-willing family.
Being given the opportunity to be a part of something of value is deeply fulfilling. I look forward to where this new adventure will take me, and I am humbled to be a part of this caring team.
When the opportunity presented itself to become a member of the Chico Spine & Wellness team, it was a no-brainer for me. The wellness centered leadership and community was energizing, engaging, and nurturing. Little did I know, I was being welcomed into a practice that was not only going to teach me how to change people’s lives, but change my own! Making my chiropractic and functional nutrition care a top priority has been paramount to increasing my quality of life. Not to mention that the authentic, loving care that Dr. Michelle pours into her team (and members!) has lead me to some of my all time highs!
Prior to starting at Chico Spine & Wellness I was building my background in Kinesiology. I have my Bachelor’s in Exercise Physiology and I am finishing my Master’s in Kinesiology. Through all my education I have learned that my passion and drive actually lies with functional nutrition, the healing powers of whole foods, and living a well-balanced life. I love interacting with our members throughout their health journeys and celebrating their successes along the way. I am very grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this community, to serve our members, and to keep diving deeper into nutrition education.
Here’s to guiding you, your family, and friends to better health and happiness!
People like to comment that Langley won the Dog Lottery.
After being abused and abandoned, she was rescued in New Mexico, just west of the Texas border. She was about seven months old, covered in ticks and fleas, and visibly emaciated. She needed some LOVE!
Langley spent the next three months with Dr. Michelle’s parents and their dog pack in New Mexico. During a family visit in July 2011, Dr. Michelle met Langley for the first time and it was puppy love at first sight!
You’ll often see Langley out and about in Chico with Dr. Michelle. People frequently ask, “What type of dog is Langley?” She is part Great Dane and part Plott Hound. A unique mix that creates a beautiful coat and a healthy attitude.
Most of Langley’s days are spent lounging around the office, laying in the courtyard in the sunshine, or greeting members. Langley has been trained as a Therapy Dog and although sometimes timid at first, she is very friendly and loves to be around people. She has become the official Mascot of Chico Spine & Wellness. Give her a cookie next time you’re in the office and she’ll wag her tail to say “Thanks!”
